FIRST EVER MUSLIM CEMETERY IN TORONTO AREA
Owned, managed and operated by MUSLIMS at a 1/3 price
Islamic Society of Toronto (IST) in Partnership with the Shia community has purchased an approximately 40 acre of land, ZONED for the Cemetery use, located at the intersection of Leslie and Bethesda. MAP . Both (IST and the Shia community) shall have equal shares in this property and will be manage collectively.
The Cemetery shall be divided into two sections; a Sunni section and a Shia section. The Sunni section cemetery will be exclusively used, managed and operated by the IST. Insha-Allah, the Cemetery is expected to be operational by spring/summer of 2011.
IST is pleased to announce the creation of the Burial Subscription pool. In the pool, IST is releasing the first 3500 grave plots at a very low price of $700.00; this price is 1/3 of current market value. Each subscription will allow the holder the use of one cemetery plot in the Sunni section. IST is selling these subscription on a first come first basis and it is going fast.
September 25th 2010 is the due date to purchase these grave subscriptions-plots. The payment can be made in installment with post-dated cheque/s for no later than September 25th, 2010.
